Work Pants 135-SM442 in Hickory Stripes
The new pant style from Scartilab: a workwear inspired piece, with a straight leg. Two front pockets with traditional workwear design, and as well a hip coin pocket.
The Hickory stripes date back to early 1900s, and was at the time mostly used for overalls (as you can see in the 2nd picture). Today’s reinterpretation from Scartilab pays homage to this now century old fabric. They created a new pant, the 135, called the Work Pant, because traditionally this fabric was used by workers. One of the reason is that, from far away, the fabric has a visual effect that hide the stains that workers had on them while they were working, mainly the railroad workers.
In the end, this is an historical piece revisited by Scartilab, with a careful fit that still is straight, but not "baggy". It can also be dressed up, as long as you keep the top a little bit quiet and you let the pants do the talking !
