The Story

This classic side panel sweatshirt recreates a timeless design in a specially knit extra thick and fluffy vintage slub fleece. A special uneven-textured slub yarn (No.8 to No.25) is combined with an ultra-low count yarn on the underside to produce the characteristic chunky loops of this heavy heather slub fleece.

This yarn combination enabled Loop & Weft to create a garment with a relaxed fit and a deliciously cushion-like texture that provides supreme warmth and comfort.

The crewneck V-gusset design pays homage to the classic side panel sweatshirt, but employs a radical cutting technique which dispenses with shoulder seams by cutting the body at 90 degrees to the fabric’s grainline.

Other features include double layer rib knit side panels with 4-needle flat seams, a V-gusset fraise cut into the body, and 2-needle stitching.

Finally, the all-cotton stitching, which is difficult and time consuming, emphasizes the texture of the heather slub, and the drop shoulder design provides a comfortable regular fit.

This item has a boxy vintage fit, and is meant to be worn like that. If you prefer a slim fit, size down.

Washing Recommendations

In order to prevent it from stretching when hung on a hanger, I recommend folding it and storing it flat.

Wash cold (30°) and hang dry. Since it is a soft knitted fabric, I recommend using a laundry net to reduce the burden when washing.
