The Story

Like every product manufactured by the Warehouse Company, their flannel shirts are crafted with the finest attention to details. The sewing factory manufacturing those shirts is located in a residential area in Kojima, an area of Okayama prefecture. Founded in 1966, the long-established Takara Sewing factory specializes in sewing shirts, but mainly handles thick shirts such as work shirts.

Satoshi Nakamichi is the factory manager and mentions that "a special sewing machine is installed in the factory, in order to sew only the shirts from Warehouse". They need specials settings, such as the width of the seams (0.56cm) and the tension of the thread.

In a desire to reproduce the old vintage feeling, Warehouse also use a special uneven thread to weave the flannels. If you use the new modern loom and weave it with strong tension, the fabric will be far from vintage. In other words, the original texture of the single yarn is lost.

The Warehouse & Co. Flannel shirts comes in different patterns, named with letters (A, B, C,...). The same construction and exceptional fabric is used on each flannel, but the design, for example the pocket shape and the weaving pattern changes.
